Model Versions
Load the Latest Version
If the user is in 3D Viewer and a new revision of model has been added to the project, the Models Tab will show the file with a download icon, indicating that there is a new version available.
The new version of the file will not be downloaded until you explicitly downloads the file.
View Version History for Files
The currently loaded version is shown in the model details tab. To load a previous version click the Select version button.
This opens the revision history for the model, from which the currently used version of the file in the project can be switched as needed, by double clicking a version in the list.
To view version history
Open a model in Trimble Connect for Windows 3D Viewer.
From the Models Tab, double click on the file (or press the info button).
The Model Details will open.
Click the Select version button.
The version history dialog will open to display the list of versions for the file.
Loading Previous Model Versions
To load a previous version
Open a model in Trimble Connect for Windows 3D Viewer.
From the Models Tab, double click on the file (or press the info button).
The Model Details will open.
Click the Select version button.
The version history panel will open to display the list of versions for the file.
Double click on a version from the list.
The file will be downloaded and then loaded in the 3D View.
Save a Revision
To save a revision
Open a model in Trimble Connect for Windows 3D Viewer.
From the Models Tab, double click on the file (or press the info button).
The Model Details will open.
Click the Select version button.
The version history panel will open to display the list of versions for the file.
Select the revision that you want to save.
Select Save as… or Save as TrimBIM…
Browse to find and select where you want to save the file to.
Click Save.
The revision will now be saved to your machine.
