Failed Conversions

If a corrupted model is added to the project, Trimble Connect for Windows will still try to load it into 3D view. When reading the model fails, it can’t be loaded and it appears as red in the Models Tab.

Common reasons for failed file conversions:

  • Unsupported file format

  • Files may have failed due to an internal server issue

  • The file is corrupted

Retry File Conversion

If a model has failed to convert, you can retry the conversion process directly from the 3D Viewer.

Note: This feature is only available for Project Administrators.


These instructions assume that you already have a model which has failed to convert in Trimble Connect for Windows 3D Viewer.

To retry conversion

  1. Open the Models panel.

  2. Right-click on the file.

  3. Click Retry file conversion.
